Making Strategic Decisions Based on Data-Driven Insights
Overview
One of the biggest challenges that companies face with respect to data science and AI is identifying where and how to start. Over the past years, at EAI we developed a framework for linking an organization’s business strategy and supporting business initiatives to its data science and AI efforts.
Data strategy guides companies at all stages of their data-driven path through the process of breaking down its business strategy and business initiatives into powerful use cases. Our "top-down" approach is ROI-oriented and is always focused on the results defined by the business strategies.
Challenge
Most project owners and project managers are not experienced with the context of data, and most data scientists are not yet experienced with aligning technical applications with the company's business goals. Moreover, it is often difficult to establish effective communication between people from such distant work areas. Understanding the goals which executives pursue and turning them into effective data-driven solutions is what makes a project successful.

Opportunity
Carlsberg asked EAI to help them with a project that had been started 2 years before. Coming in, it was clear that the project was missing a strategy that would align the development team and the business side. Our main mission was assisting the company to deliver a great product for the end-user using a high-quality process standard.
Impact
Besides helping Carlsberg stakeholders defining the data strategy and identifying Data Science applications, EAI also helped the company define KPIs and analysis that helped the product maximize ROI for the company.
