Robotic Process Automation (RPA)

Robotic process automation (RPA) is a productivity tool that allows an organization to improve its efficiency by automating repetitive tasks performed on a computer. It’s not unusual for repetitive human tasks to be completely automated using RPA.

Usually, this process involves the simulation of pressed keystrokes and mouse movements that mimics human behaviour. It can also include the transformation, processing, and transportation of data for different systems.

A typical RPA system might overlay over one or more software applications after the typical process of a human operator is formalized. Once running, some of these systems run fully automated, while others run under the supervision of a human.
