Natural Language Processing (NLP)
Natural language processing (NLP) is a field related to computer science and linguistics that deals with the interaction between computers and humans using natural language. The ultimate objective of NLP is to read, understand, and make sense of human languages in a manner that computers can achieve human-like comprehension of languages.
NLP tasks help computer systems to understand and draw judgments from texts, to simulate human behavior. Among the several possible applications, we can mention text summarization, automatic translation, sentiment analysis, and text classification. Detecting fake news through text classification is one of the numerous capabilities in this area.
For instance, chatbots are an example of a system that relies on NLP and machine learning, to identify and extract the intent, context, and meaning behind inquiries. Other examples of NLP include spell check and autocomplete, question answering, text clustering, and so on.
